Al Faw “Qaryat”

Al Faw  “Qaryat”


 The “Al Faw” village or as called locally “Qaryat” is one of the historical places in Saudi Arabia, that presents the history of the vivid example of an Arab city before Islam, which shows many historical characters such as houses, markets, roads, cemeteries, temples etc.

The village goes back to  the Kingdom of Kindah, whereas it was the capital city of it, and it had an important roll in the history of the Arabian Peninsula, for more than five centuries. The people of Al Faw were involved in farming and trading.

The village was a major trade center and the junction of groups, which carried elements, fabrics, grains from different parts of the region.
